Thanks for asking...

Who is murphala?

I take the name from the affectionate diminutive of my mutt-dog's name, Murphy. Her picture appears in the header. In any case, she has been my alter-ego for years now. She is the second child in the family of four. Why have I adopted her as my alter-ego? Most people refer to her as "he" because she just doesn't appear to be very feminine (even for a dog), and she is clumsy as hell (she falls off the bed, falls down the stairs, and up the stairs, and well, just falls) and is sorely scruffy looking, unless she's just been to the groomers and she is all spiffed up with a bandana and bows and neatly trimmed hair. Then, she just looks ridiculous. She was bigger than all the other puppies in the store, she wasn't a 'purebred', and so was doubly out of place. She's very sweet and affectionate, but doesn't know when to shut up. She'll do just about anything for food.
